Andy loves our Aardvark apparel! The apparel throughout the shop featuring our Aardvark logo is designed to offer a lower price point while maintaining quality comparable to Vuori.
In addition to the logoed apparel, Andy favorite everyday shoe right now is the Topo Aura, which has some stability and a nice wide toe box. Of course, inside every pair of shoes Andy slides a Currex insole for maximum support.
On the run he has been enjoying Maurten gels, which are a flavorless hydrogel that is easy to consume and avoid flavor fatigue. Post run he is gravitating towards a Foot Roller for maximum recovery!
Aimee is one of our staff trail runners, so it isn't surprising that her favorites for 2025 are some essentials for the trail. One of her favorite upgrades this year was to the Coros Apex Pro 2, which has the option for mapping on the go. Coros is known for their battery life, so while she is out for full days marking trails for races or exploring the mountains, she always has enough battery on her device.
Shes currently running and hiking in HOKA shoes. Some of her favorites include the HOKA Mafate X for road-to-trail or non-technical hikes, and the Mafate 5 or Speedgoat 6 for more technical terrain. She's always reaching for a pair of Tifosi sunglasses, which are great for those shade to sun transitions. Whether she is starting or ending her runs with a coffee, she is loving a cup of The Running Kind Grind!
If you have worked with Sheena before, you know she is all about improving foot health! She gravitates toward a shoe with zero or low offset and a wide toe box, making her selection for her go to shoe the Altra Lone Peak 9. In addition to enjoying a wide toe box, she is leading the charge to convert our staff to toe socks. Injinji toe socks are not only one of Sheena's favorite products, but she has the support of a majority of of staff! We also have recently started carrying Wild Toes, which act as toe separators, allowing for maximum toe splay and promoting foot health.
All of Sheena's favorite products are particularly great for those suffering from bunions, hammertoes, neuromas and more!
Lizzie has most recently been a big fan of the new Asics Blast line up. Originally, she loved the Asics Novablast 5 as a daily trainer, as most of our staff does, because of it's versatility. Recently, she has been dealing with her own bout of Achilles Tendonitis and has found relief in her daily shoe, Asics Superblast 2. Its slightly firmer feel and higher cushioning have provided the support and comfort she needs. Most recently she is loving the Megablast as her race day shoe!
One of her favorite products is the Sprints Car Towel, which several of our staff members enjoy. If you are looking for something to gift your runner person, chances are they could utilize this! This product is great for post run, especially in the Summer when sweaty and getting into the car.
Melissa is our New Balance girly. She loves the soft cushion from their daily trainers all the way to their race day shoes. While training for her two marathons this year, she logged plenty of miles in the New Balance 1080v14, Rebel v5, and SuperComp Trainer v3.
In addition, Melissalike many of our female staffis a big fan of the Vuori Clementine Short and Daily Legging. Vuori is known for their super soft and comfortable materials making their line great for daily wear and on the run!
Kate is another one of our staff trail junkies. She has been deep in the world of trail running for many years and most recently has been re-entering the scene. Earlier this year, we started carrying Topo Athletic and Kate became obsessed with the fit and quality of these shoes. Her current go-to trainer is the Topo Ultraventure, ideal for everything from road and beginner trails to more challenging terrain.
She loves the Blister Resist Light socks both on the run and in her daily life. In addition, she has been a fan of the Brooks Luxe Pocket Bra for some time. Most of our female staff wear this bra on the run for support and functionality. This bra has a pocket in the back for your phone, making it extremely easy to carry your phone without the hassle of a vest or belt.
Jon is our shoe buyer... so as you might have guessed, he knows his shoes! His favorite brand to run in is Newton, most commonly running in the Newton Distance. He loves the unique lug system and minimal cushion, as opposed to many of the shoes on the market currently. Similar to Sheena, he likes something with a wider toe box and lower offset, promoting the way our feet were meant to make contact with the ground.
He can always be found in a Buff around his head, perfect for any season! In his marathon training, he has been enjoying SaltStick Capsules, especially during the hotter months. When at work or at home, he can be found in some Talk To Your Mates merch!
Erin is loving all things Rabbit! Her two favorite pieces being the Leggy Smashems and the Fuel N Fly shorts, both with multiple pockets and drawstrings making for a comfortable run.
Every now and then she deals with Plantar Fasciitis, so she is a big fan of some of our products to help reduce that irritation. In particular, she loves the Plantar Fasciitis socks from Feetures as well as a Foot Roller, to break up some of that tension under the foot.
Her go-to trainer and race day shoe right now is the Megablast, which came as no surprise! She loves the Asics Novablast 5 and the New Balance 1080v14, some of the softest shoes we carry!
John (aka Schu) is another one of our wide toe box lovers, leaning into the Altra Experience Flow 2 for his shoe pick. This shoe is great for all activities! Because of it's lower offset and stack height, it is a great shoe in the gym. It also provides a nice soft foam making it the perfect option for daily wear and on the run.
Schu hits the roads and the trails alike! He loves his Salomon S-Lab Hydration Vest for all of his longer runs, no matter the terrain. Similar to Erin, he also loves Rabbit for his apparel selection. He is a big fan of the Rabbit High Country Short Sleeve, which can be worn on the run or casually.
Sue is our apparel and accessories buyer and she loves Vuori! She has several styles of the Vuori Run Skirts - Clementine, Volley, Meta and the newest style, the Daily. She loves the fit and feel of each of them. They all have pockets for storage making them great for multi purpose use - running, walking, golf and everyday wear.
Her go-to daily trainer is currently the Asics Novablast 5... as mentioned earlier, it is a staff favorite! Similar to most of our staff, she is tossing an insert into her shoes for maximum support. Her preference of insert is the Currex High Arch, but we always advise you to come get fit appropriately and see what is the most comfortable for you!
Scott loves to hit the trails and is our only staff member to complete a 100 Mile race! Though his favorite road shoe is the Asics Megablast, his tried and true shoe for the trails is the Saucony Peregrine 15. He ran his 100 Mile race in this shoe and continues to take on some of the most difficult terrain in Pennsylvania.
The best part about trail running is the snacks! Scott's favorite snack on the trail is Skratch Chews, which are almost like a sugar coated gummy!
